Market and craft days
The Burrell Creek Youth and Community Association runs market and craft stalls at the hall. The October Twilight Market ran from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday 11 October: locally handcrafted wares, egg and bacon rolls, tea and coffee, and now air-conditioned comfort. Stalls were $11 inside or $5 outside.
The hall over the years
In 2022 the Manning River Times reported that Burrell Creek Hall was turning 92. It is run by the Burrell Creek Youth and Community Association Inc., a volunteer committee that looks after the hall, its bookings and its events.
1939 to 1945
Old Wingham Chronicle articles show the hall was often the place young men left from to go to war in the Second World War.
2018
The Burrell Creek Youth and Community Association said the hall is a valuable part of the community, especially in natural disasters, and that without it residents would have to travel to Taree or Wingham to vote.
2022
The 92nd anniversary was marked with a supper at the hall on Saturday 10 September. The Burrell Creek Youth and Community Association asked the community for memories, photos, notes and cards, and contacted local museums for more of the hall’s history.
The hall is a valuable part of the community, especially during times of natural disasters.

Hire the hall
A clean hall with kitchen facilities and all the tables and chairs, for weddings, birthdays, family get-togethers and wakes. The rates are the committee’s to add.
Help piece the hall’s story together
The Burrell Creek Youth and Community Association has asked for memories, photos, notes and cards from the people who have used the hall. A page like this is a good place to keep them: photos by year, and a few lines from the people who were there.
Where the photos and news come from
The photographs, flyers and news on this page are from the Burrell Creek Youth and Community Association Inc., from its own Facebook page. They are shown here so the committee can see them on a page of their own.
The history and the upgrades are from public sources: the Manning River Times and MidCoast Council. Both are listed on the About page.
